Sumario:
The chapter is devoted to finding methods and means of deworming animals. Of the tested drugs—Ambilgar, Antimosan, Miracil D, Praziquantel and Droncit (praziquantel) turned out to be the most effective. The anthelmintic efficacy of Ambilgar at a dose of 20–25 mg/kg of live weight in sheep, goats and cattle ranged from 85 to 100%. Praziquantel, administered orally at a dose of 20–25 mg/kg of sheep and cattle weight, proved to be a highly effective anthelmintic against schistosomiasis in animals, where the extensive effectiveness was up to 100%. Currently, this drug is widely used for the treatment and prevention of animal schistosomiasis in the farms of Uzbekistan.
